Have you heard of a thing called conspiracy theories? According to the Merriam Webster, conspiracy theories are “theories that explain an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators.” There are conspiracy theories on just about anything. Some popular conspiracies categories include but are not limited to; medicine, economics, science, technology, and business. Technology is a very popular conspiracy because there are so many new advancements. When looking to purchase a phone you’re worried about the obvious things like size, battery capacity, etc, but have you ever read into some of the conspiracies on them? iPhones are a very popular brand of phone and are known to be super helpful. I myself use to have an iPhone 6, but once newer models started coming out I noticed my phone started slowing down and not loading things as quickly as it use to. I did a bit of research and found that it definitely was not just my phone, there were web pages on web pages about this. I dug a little deeper and found that there was actually a lawsuit against Apple for the slowing of older generations. I did end up having to purchase the iPhone 8 eventually because my phone was becoming less useful over time. At first, the slowing of older generations started as a conspiracy theory, but then Apple actually admitted to slowing the phones down but they repeatedly suggested it was unintentional. I mean it makes sense right? Slowing down your phone so that you will go and purchase a newer, more expensive model, genius! This conspiracy has brought an outcry among Apple fans, with some suggesting they may switch to rival Samsung. Apple might want to rethink its tactics because it could lead to a huge customer loss, which is a huge money loss for them.

Have you ever wondered more about iPhone generations and what the similarities and differences are? Whether you have or not, I have some answers! As you may or may not know, there are eighteen total generations of iPhones. Some differences include the; display, size and weight, water resistance, camera, secure authentication, power, and battery, along with a few others of course. One of the notable differences is the size. The height can range anywhere from 4.54mm to 6.23mm and the width can range from 2.30mm to 3.07mm. The camera quality is also super important and one of the main features that draw iPhone users to purchase, according to Apple. The camera ranges from the original three megapixels all the way to twelve megapixels. A pixel is an individual element of a digital image. The number of megapixels determines the resolution of an image. The flash on the camera is also different between generations. There are LED, true tone, quad-LED, and quad LED true tone. A flash produces artificial light that can make a picture easier to see. One of the most important things on a phone is battery capacity. With the iPhone, the battery can range from 1,219 mAh to 3,174 mAh. MAh stands for milli Ampere hour, it is a measure of a battery's energy storage capacity. A special feature the iPhone has is its ID on how to get into the phone. On lower generations, it was just a password but later on, it was the touch ID and now its the face ID. The overall storage is different between the phones too. This change was definitely the largest, the original iPhone held 4GB up to 16. The newest iPhone holds up to 256GB of storage! The newer iPhones are far more advanced and have much better qualities. iPhones are for all types of people and I’m sure if you do some more research you could find one that fits your needs!
